Employers look after their own interests, and you should do the same."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0

I was set up for a full time retail job via the Job Centre - really didn't want it but took it anyway, went for an interview for an admin position (less hours, less pay but a vital foot in the door) got the admin job & resigned from the retail job before my contract started . . . The way the job market is at the moment you're damn lucky to land one job let alone 2 so it's good to have a fall back . . .DFW NERD# 1175Proud Member of Sealed Pot Challenge #5 ~ 1479 cashless_wonder~*DEBT FREE & LOVING IT*~

I would accept the job if i were offered one, plus there is no guarantee you would get this other job that is with other council so why shoot yourself in the foot.0

Hello all,
I have applied for the 2nd job last week and waiting with, crossed xxxxxx everything, for an interview!
If I get called in for the interview should I mention my current job offer as leverage? Would it make them think I'm definitely worthy of the job if they knew? Or is it best to not say anything?
Once again, your advice is most appreciated!0 -
I wouldn't mention the other job you've got. If it's between two applicants in the end they are likely to give it to the one without the other job to go to so you could end up losing it. Don't worry about letting the other place down if you get it, they will simply ask the person who was second best to take the job so you will be making someone else's day at the same time.0
