Hi
I have just been informed that I may not change my home insurance(currently Swinton) as I have a claim going thru'!! I have had an accidental damage claim from 10/9 and my policy finishes on 2/11. I have done the comparison sites and was contacted by 'the winner' who informed me that I would have to settle with outstanding claim before I can switch!!
Can anyone advise, I have an offer £100 cheaper
Thanks

What do you mean by 'the winner' do you mean the cheapest one you can find.
You can insure with who you like when you like, it is probably just their company policy, you'll have to shop around a bit more.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If they chose not to take the business of someone with an open claim that is there choice and you can do nothing about it.
Your options are to either stay where you are or look at one of the other slightly more expensive provider (who may well give more comprehensive cover) who will accept someone with an open claim. The majority of insurers will accept open claims for AD0 -
Thanks very much, yes I did mean cheapest.0
