well...i think slim fast is good if you have say to go to a wedding in 3 weeks...or a party next month...it is just a short term fix..

its isnt something u can stay on for ever...

imo slimming world is something you could do for the rest of your life...i started it 15 weeks ago...and i have lost 2 stone 10.5 lbs.....i am never hungry....always grazing...and i can honestly say...i never ate so much in my life...so its working for me...

but every one is dif....like i have over 6 stone in total to loose :o...im nearly halfway there.....so i cud never do that all on slimfast...but for anyone who just wants a nice party dress to sit better on them...or has less than a stone to loose...then slim fast could be just the ticket (i lost 10lbs in 3 weeks on it before)

good luck with whatever you decide to try, :)

But looking at your sig you have also lost 10 lb in the first 3 weeks of Slimming World :j So if SW and SF gave you the same results in the same amount of time which have you felt the healthier more fulfilling way of doing it?

Thanks to hangingbyathread for making me include myself in the above xx

I find this surprising. I'm not trying to 'convert' anyone to WW, but I've lost 14lb since mid September. During this time I've eaten out at Giraffe, Nandos and Cafe Rouge. I've even had a takeaway Pizza Hut. I eat the same things as DH, just slightly adapted - if he has steak and chips, I have steak and salad (and maybe pinch a couple of chips from DH's plate :rotfl:)

I thin the problem for her is that she was so strict, too strict, that it wasn't sustainable.

I guess she saw WW as a diet rather than a lifestyle choice, I did try to tell her that losing 17lb in 11 weeks was possibly too much too soon and she was likely to put it back on when she went back to eating 'normally', but hey, she knew best :rotfl:

  • Slimfast is very high in sugar and therefore carbohydrates. Also, it does have vitamins and minerals added but it also has an awful lot of chemicals too. It's probably ok in the short term but far too 'unhealthy' for any long term diet. Just my opinion of course :)

defo SW....with slim fast its 2 shakes a day...with SW its unlimited "free" foods throughout the day....SF is ok when u only have a few pounds to loose...but you cant really stick to it any longer than 3 / 4 weeks imo...u wud get sick to the teeth of it.. i defo could not stay on it for the duration of loosing 6 stone :o

whereas on SW...u cud stick to it for the rest of ur life (and i will need to! :o)

    Hello Girls,
I know some of use panic a bit now what with trying to look decent and squeezing into clothes for Christmas dos ect. I just wondered had anyone had any succes with those work out short things. Beautyfit’s Workout Slimming Shorts are on a Groupon deal at the moment for a tenner but does anyone know if they work? They are claiming can go down 2 dress sizes in short time usual thing 3 weeks I think but has anyone had real results with them, says you can wear them in bed too. I'm sure there's a few of us waiting with baited breathe if you could comment for us, thanks in anticipation. Hope I've done post right I'm newbie can't post link but one of Groupons top offers at the mo.

I suppose short term it works. My SIL's sister lost 1st 6lbs in 14 days on it before an operation.

Might try it myself to detox & loose 1/2 a stone.
