whats a fair wait before I refund?

Hi

I sold an item on friday 14th october, I posted it 1st class packet on monday 17th. I chose not to send it recorded so I know Its down to me to refund then claim it back from royal mail, no problem with that.

I do think it should really have been there by now, everything I posted the same day has arrived (i've had feedback for it)

Should I ask her to wait a couple more days until maybe friday or just refund it now?

tia

I'd see if buyer was happy to wait until say Friday and then promise them a refund if it hasn't arrived then.

There is no harm in asking if they mind waiting a few more days - the worst they can say is no. RM won't officially class it as lost until 3rd November so you won't be able to claim until after that.
