Just a quick question

Hey everyone.

My DH and I are moving home soon and I requested some housing benefit/council tax benefit and CCG forms just so I'm prepared.

We currently claim IS.

Anyway, included was a form called "NHB1A (IR)" and on the front it says "For people getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance or Pension Credit who have changed address".

I presume this is the same form that you're given when you phone to say you've changed address?

So I don't have to request one because I've already been sent it?

Please excuse my stupidity but I have alot of problems using the phone so if the form I received is the one that I would have been sent then it makes things so much easier for me, and the form is alot shorter than I anticipated.:o

Yep, you're right - you don't need to request another form from the DWP, this form means the change of address will be entered on the main system. ;)

  • if you will still be in the same bdc area then it should be very straight forward,if you are moving further afield then it can get complicated,we moved areas earlier this year and it took a month to get everything sorted
    good luck with your move

Heeey. We're moving to a flat in the same village we live in at the moment so hopefully it'll be really straight forward.

    Thank you.:)
