Will writing services

Anyone got any tips for arranging Wills 'cheaply'. How much do they generally cost anyway??.

I have found a site where you by a CD, and it does it all for you, and who ever else you would like to lend it to (family maybe). The CD costs £29:00, which includes P+P. This is £5 off the RRP. Because this is a Motivano promotional offer.

What do you think? Is this deal any good??

Tks,
Leighton.

Cancer Research has a campaign at times whereby you get a solicitor to draw one up for you for free... they are obvioulsy hoping that you will leave CR somethign but you dont' have to.

My solicitor charged £40 to write will. I did not want CR to pay for it - I already make donations to CR and didn't want my money to go for this!
I love it when a plan comes together :rotfl:

I am no expert on wills ,to be honest I havent made one .But if you are making a will I think it would be better to use a solicitor and make sure everyone knows where your will is . A friend I went to school with died last year .He had seperated from his wife and had a new partner .
He had a will made leaving everything to his new partner .His wife went to court and got the will overturned .I think it was a case of you cant disinherit
your wife . I dont know if he used a solictor but a solictor should have known he couldnt cut his wife out of his will even if they where separated .
  • Are you a member of your union at work? One of the services mine provides is free will writing. It may be worth checking out.
