Can i claim carers allowance myself to pay people who help me ?

do you get middle or higher rate DLA? if you do then if you have someone caring for you for at least 35 hours a week they can claim carers allowance as long as they don't earn over £100 per week from any employment0

you could apply for 'direct payments' to fund carers of your own choosing. apply via social services at your local council.0

It would need to be direct payments, carers allowance cannot be awarded to the disabled person that is being cared for.0
