Sims 3 RAM help

Hi

I love playing the sims, my PC has been running the game fine on 2GB RAM but been meaning to upgrade it ever since I built the PC, I just couldn't afford it at the time. I now have 4GB RAM and the game is sticking, any idea's why it was playing ok on 2GB but struggles on 4GB?

    This just isn't the type of game that's memory intensive, at all. What did you upgrade to (speed wise). Also, what PC is this and what operating system version.

    Windows 7, the only thing I've upgraded is the memory, it has a 256mb graphics card

    one of the simplest methods here is to perhaps uninstall the game (saving any data you want), then re-install it. Is the rest of the system running ok?

    I also recommend installing gamesbooster

    Its free too. what it does is shutdown all the background crap you don't need running. I find it stops the odd frame rate hiccup I used to get on stuff I play and a bit quicker to load stuff like left 4 dead 2. Then when you finish playing, one click and it will start all the background crap back up automatically.
