Student Debts!!!

Hey guys,
I'm on the first year of a 5 year Medicine course, I have £3k per year tuition fees, and a £3.3k per year loan. Thats £6.6k per year. Times that by 5 years and that is £33k, if you add a 5 year overdraft of £2k that is £35k!!!
I have a job atm just 8 hrs a week, but from next year onwards I will not have time for a job or I'll end up failing. Its hard enough as it is this year, as I have so much work and lectures.
I can work in the summer, but that is pretty much not gonna reduce my loan as next year my loans are pretty much only gonna cover accom and tuition. The prospect of coming out of uni with a £35k debt scares me!
If anyone has any ideas to reduce it, and if you can point me in the direction of some really good posts or tips for student moneysaving then I would really appreciate it.
Thanks guys.
