Google Android 1.6

Looking at the spec sheet, it has a 300mhz processor. The memory size is low too. If I'm honest, I'd be surprised if this will run Android 2.1 but I'll continue to check around.0

I know you were after a bargain, but looking at the specs in your link, there's no wi-fi n (only b and g) and a resistive screen... A bit bleuh really, I hope you got it dirt cheap.
edit: max capacity supported for an external micro SD is also only 16GB so not much extra storage to be had either I'm afraid (most tablets and phones will take a micro SD card up to 32GB) Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 (most tablets and phones will take a micro SD card up to 32GB) Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

Sorry, I don't know what wi-fi "n" is (or "b" and "g") for that matter lol It does connect to our wi-fi, in fact that's about the only thing I managed to get to work !
My wife saw it on a Facebook buy-and-sell page and at only £30 it looked like a bargain so I got it for her... admittedly without doing my homework on the specs, etc first.0

Wi-Fi (n) is the latest "draft" of wireless range and speed. It's no massive biggy but it would have been nice.0

If you only paid £30 for it then fair enough Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

a device like this is really only good for web browsing, because it is not a google sanctioned device then the chances of you getting 'market' on it are slim to none, therefore you will need to use a service like getjar to get apps on it, or manually find and download the .apk and install.
I would be surprised if there has been any ROM development for it so you likely won't be able to upgrade it to a newer OS which would likely present more problems than leaving it on 1.6
so use it for web browsing (facebook has a website and most apps do) and download apps/games from somewhere like getjar0
