Quidco - still waiting after 10 months.

First of all, because of this incident I stopped using Quidco some time ago (now use TopCashBack).

On 3rd January I ordered a mobile phone through Mobiles.co.uk, using the Quidco link. Over the next few months I kept writing to Quidcocare asking why the transaction hadn't even been confirmed. On 4th August they finally wrote saying mobiles.co.uk had approved the cashback, but I am still waiting for the claim to come up even as confirmed.

I am now just being sent pretty similiar mails saying they are aware of the problem and their team is doing everything they can to get it paid. Just replied to ask what are they doing because whatever they are doing doesn't seem to have worked in the last 10 months (but still reasonably politely).

Any idea's anyone on how I get this money lol?

  • Only with patience I guess. Some merchants are really rather slow in paying up, it's not necessarily Quidco's fault. Personally, I too prefer TCB, but even there I've had to wait about 15 months for home insurance cashback to become payable.
  • I have had a Chuchill home insurance payment tracked for over 12 months now, have queried it a couple of times but just get an automated response. With cashback websites I always treat this money as a bonus and never base a purchase solely on the cashback offered just in case it doesn't get paid.

I have payments tracked back to April 2010.......
  • I have had two payments confirmed in the last couple of weeks from October 2006.

I use Quidco, Top Cashback, and Fat Cheese; I find Quidco the most "professional" of the three, and actually I was about to start a thread asking why Fat Cheese were so slow, because I have 4 travel transactions dating back to April.
