Buying new shoes and my legal rights?

I normally buy my shoes from a well known high street stores; I try them on in the shop, and if they are comfortable then I buy them. Prices of shoe varies from £40 - £75 per pair.
With most shoes, this works well. Recently, I bought a pair of shoes, tried them in the shop, felt fine, and then bought them. With few days passing by, the shoes felt very uncomfortable and arching my feet.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I haven’t been to the shop as I have worn the pair outside, and made a use of them.
Basically, what are my rights when buying shoes and wearing them outside in terms of exchange, refund, swapping them, when the shoes are not comfortable and arch the feet?
Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately you have no legal rights unless the shoes are faulty. However, some shops have good returns policies so may be worth trying anyway.0

Yeah, head over there, politely explain the problem - they may be able to offer some help, even if it's just an insole or something... the worst that can happen is they say "sorry" and send you on your way.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
