Please may I join too?
I have been reading these boards almost obsessively since i discovered them last weekend. I have outstanding debt just over 100k (i dont know how either! It started during my marriage and seemed to spiral from there). I think I am left with no alternative than to undertake a DMP as I cant manage my monthly payments. However, I am determined to clear my debts eventually and have already really started to cut costs. I now note down every penny (to the penny) that leaves my purse! I am also having to do this without the knowledge of my current partner as i am sure he would leave me if he knew and i cant take that risk...

Hello, I am new to this, but I think I want to have a debt free wannabe number! I am going off to cook tea and work out how much we owe. Scary thought. Might take some time (and a bottle of wine). It seems I will be joining the grocery challenge as well as many others. I have successfully reclaimed bank charges of £4971 using this site (and spent it on covering direct debits with little effect), which gives some idea of how much our outgoings outstrip our income.
Oh well, here goes..........unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].
May 2009, £76,772 unsecured debts
DMP started Dec 2008, End date at start 2133!0 -
