  • Hi I'd like to join the dfw nerds please, I hope i've posted in the right place. I'm a married working mother of 2, with a mortgage. I had my light bulb moment today because of credit card debts I owe just under £6000, not the hugest ammount of money but it is to me, my parents are going to clear my debt and I'm gonna repay them every penny so i'm gonna have to moneysave big time. I'm gonna start saving imediately but I'll have to wait a while to get the true figure of what i owe. I'm so grateful to the bank of Mam & Dad but I feel so ashamed that it's came to this at my age. I tried the credit card shuffle but messed it up so this really is my last resort. Wish me luck.

Proud to be dealing with my debt

    Hi There,

Have received brilliant advice from the debt free wannabe forum in the past, but have not visited for ages, it's great to see so many people are on here now. I would like to join the club if thats ok?
Lightbulb moment Sept 2005 debt- £18,000
    Debt June 2007- £8260
I have had friends go bankrupt and have been tempted in the past to think why not just do that it seems an easy way out, but I too am proud to be dealing with my debts, which is why I don't get on here much as I am always working!!, but hey ho if that means I can reach my target of being debt free by next september, then I will be sooo happy. its great to see everyones progress.
