Egg Money second cardholder

I've been stoozing for a while now and want to get boyfriend rate tarting (unfortunately has some debt) he applied for Egg Money and got rejected. He obviously needs a routing card. Does anyone know if it's possible to add him as a second cardholder on my Egg Money account and route balances through that?

Shame your boyfriend was refused his own egg money card, i tried to get one for my OH to max out the cashback a second time and they were refused too!

Personally, and I haven't researched in any depth, I am not sure you need to be the cardholder for a balance transfer (I have certainly never been asked for name on the card I am balance transferring from, just the number). That being the case I think you could route the money through your egg money card without adding your boyfriend to the account with his own card, either way as it is the same account the cash back limit of £200 per annum will apply once.

There are the usual points about trust and having someone else on your account to consider too, no-one wants to be left high and dry with ex's debts as you hear of from time to time. However, if they have the debt on a card in their name and the money flows through your egg money account to their savings account I doubt you would be held liable.

    Good luck
  • just stooze it via your egg money card, thats what I do.

I got the OH made a second cardholder on my EM card specifically to take advantage of his higher salary and therefore higher credit limits. I've never had any trouble using it as a router.
