    Hi everyone,

Can I just say a big thanks to all that post the glitches on here as for us newbies to this board it is most appreciated!!

Also a MASSIVE thank you to the person who said they donated some of their boots stuff to their local women's refuge. I was going to do this too and then had another thought - I book hotel accommodation for a lot of my colleagues and have now asked them all to bring back the freebie toiletries they get and take them down.
Spoke to my local women's refuge in Glasgow and they are thrilled! So I will be taking Boots goodies Monday and the rest as they come in!

It was me - thanks for your lovely comments! I find it rude not to relieve Boots of almost anything they've on daft offers, and there are plenty of folk who find themselves in less fortunate times.

Given that Boots is originally from Nottingham as I recall, do you feel a sense of Robin Hood comes around?

So many glitches, so little time...
  • the bogof no 7 342 thingy appears not to work anymore am i right in thinking its finished now? I got three glossy locks and the multi save come off but i ended up paying for two so no more three for 50p! I got the 15 pound wrap though as i paid 11.00 for the two glossy locks and the third one came off 342 not the great bargin i had thought but with the wrap its bearable. did not have no 7 voucher either. I think i will try returning glossy locks tomorrow. And get £11 back. Will they make me take back free gift as well?
:j I sometimes give myself admirable advice, but am incapable of taking it.

Couldnt agree more. The ladies in some of the refuges have been through hell, and may have to cope with living in one room, with their children, until they can get back on their feet and move onto better things (I am not knocking the refuges here, I think they do an amazing job but still, it cant be easy living somewhere that isnt your own and that is often vastly underfunded). So a little gift of some nice yummy beauty stuff can really make someones day and give them a bit of a boost. We all like a bit of pampering, especially after going through tough times. If you have Boots stuff you wont be using, please consider giving them to someone who will appreciate them.

Nervous wreck after Boots trip. Had voucher to use by tonight. Bought No7 facial suncare and lip shimmer - picked up wrap. Then picked up the smile toothpaste. Whilst in queue SA said we should use the other till. Oh no the dreaded No7 SAs!!!! When to back of the shop instead keeping fingers crossed that the suncare was still BOGOF despite no signs stating that.
SA put everything through but then messed up the voucher. Typed in wrong code so gave me £20! Pretty obvious something wrong as have a bag filled of goodies and Boots now owe me £10. We now have to go to another till and get the manager. Fortunately nothing said about my Boots haul so managed to pay and escape. Need large glass of wine to recover!!!!!!!!
    MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000
    MFW 91 op 2015 £4051/4000
    MFW 91 op 2016 £4040/4000

after telling myself how much i needed one ,off i go to boots picking up 2 no7 energising face sun creams, some reduced toni & guy balm for £3.50 (normally £6.99) and some cold and flu capsules for 99p.
the sa scans my things and tells me "i think you have to spend £15 to get one of these". so i start mumbling my pre prepared speech on how i didnt realise.... blah blah, and she says "oh, its gone through though". i then hand her my £5 and £3 vouchers(very quickly before she changed her mind) and she just looked confused  as my total came to just over £5! bless her, i quickly scurried away clutching my goodies and new vouchers!!!

my mum got a wrap and I was kinda hoping she would give it me but she said it was too nice to give me, but she did give me her vouchers so it wasn't all bad.

got 342 toothpaste and 100 points
Picked up reduced botanics and reduced santuary but the till wouldn't take it. The sa was helpful but a bit dim and said it won't do it so I said leave it them I don't want it. So she refunded everything and then said oh done it worng take that voucher to the NO7 desk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and she will put your vouchers on for you!!!!!!!!!

No7 girl lovely did it no prob, but later when i was pondering on my spend I realised the sa had missed off my £2.50 voucher as well. Anyway got the £2.50 in cash from the no 7 girl!! and I was in so much shock after a friendly no7 sa I went into shock.
