  • Thanks guys I got myself a few bargains this afternoon! One thing I did notice though was it did not come up strictly 6-4-1. Here's what happened:

    Got sunspray spf 15 £12.50
and sun lotion spf25 £12.00 (free on 2 for 1)

    Got shimmer lotion spf15 £11.50
and tan maintainer £9.50 (free on 2 for 1)

    Got shimmer aftersun £8.50
and face aftersun £7.50 (free on 2 for 1)

Then on 3 for 2's, I had £11.50 deducted for the shimmer lotion and £7.50 deducted for face aftersun which seemed a bit strange as the £7.50 had already gone through as free so it should have been the £8.50 product that was 3 for 2.

Therefore I ended up paying a pound more than expected. I'm not sure if the order in which they are scanned makes a difference or not?

Also they had no mags so lost out on 100pts with Botanics and they had also ranout of £5/£3 vouchers - reckon I should complain by email? Do you include your advantage card number when you complain?

  • *WARNING* BOOTS* WHITE ROSE * LEEDS *
I have typed this once, and it took me 20 mins then didn't post, so bear with me, I am still very new! Will try and condense what I reported b 4!
Went to White Rose today, and was effectively told that the 'Glitch' had been spotted that morning, in THAT store, as a lady had tried to put thru' loads of No.7 Suncare and been charged a nominal amount. They phoned HO, queried, and were advised that this was a System Error that would be fixed, but in the mean time they would memo ALL Boots Stores to prevent the 6 4 1, and Customers must choose between 2 4 1 or 3 4 2!
Told "it wont work at any other Boots store either". As if I would??!!!!

To be fair, the SA's and Manager were quite polite, and even apologised.
A contrast to some I have had the mis-fortune to deal with this week.

Anyone else had any similar experience today?
I'm rather nervous at trying again, anywhere else?
This was at approx 1.00pm today.

Boots Secret Hair Trimmer reduced from £11.99 to £5.99 used a £5 voucher that I FOUND outside Boots. Voucher wouldnt go through but the nice No.7 lady overrode the till (doesn't work against electrical items) and I paid 99p!!
    Thankyou Boots

Jsut been to Lakeside Boots. No 5.50 suncare, seems like they've cleared the shelves themselves.

Picked up a few bargains though and must have chosen the pickiest SA as when i handed over some vouchers which i knew i could use she looked at me like dirt and read the t&c's with a fine tooth comb.

She tried to reject a points voucher i had for huggies even though she'd jsut scanned them through!!!

do the customer survey mentioned above and name and shame her!
