Lol!! that was I and I sound like a total moaner but it was the principle of the fact (didnt say anything to the SA because its not her fault). Boots said to maximise the number of vouchers we would "be happy to make several transactions for you" (yeah right!!! - plus I couldn't do that to any poor unsuspecting SA's!!)

But a nice apology (finally) and 1000points winging their way on to my AC! :D:D:D:D

Thanx for the quick reply, what did u email them saying? And where do you email to? I feel i should do the same complaint (as i actually asked him to separate the transactions and he just totally ignored me!) thanx in advance

i have just been to boots and the SA would not allow me to buy any of the minature shampoos with the £3 gift voucher. but i got her back cos i got a small minature botanics cream reduced from £1.50 to 75 p and got a moisturiser free and then i handed her a 100 points voucher so i got 25 p back off boots and walked away with over £5 worth of products for nothing. she was a bit of a jobsworth as she would not allow me 2 boots magazines with one card even though i was putting the transactions through separately. However, i had an answer to that one and brought out a second advantage card!!

Which Boots was this in Tracey? I've been looking for the reduced Botanics for a while but can't find anything in any of the newcastle stores :o

    SUCCESS!!!:j :j :j :j :j

Nearly chickened out a few times but end result was...

    Transaction 1
    75% off gift for £3
2 botanics waffle buffers at £1.50 each (and two free moisturisers)
    Total £6 - got £5/£3 voucher

Transaction 2 (nice middle-aged chap who looked like he neither knew nor cared about the price of suncream and who probably thinks no.7 is a bus route)
    1 x £5.50 hair spritz
    1 x £5.50 lip shimmer
    1 x £6.50 burgundy/gold bag
    75% off gifts for £4.50
Used £3 hair voucher against £4 Umberto conditioner
    Used £5 voucher
    Paid £6.99
    Got another £5/£3 voucher

Transaction 3 (went back to "my" chap again, starting to build up a bond now)
    6 x various suncreams between £11 and £12.50 each
Used £3 hair voucher against Umberto shine mist hairspray
Used £5 voucher although my chap nearly tried to be too helpful and starting to split transaction until I stopped him!
Multivitamins £1.55 but 300 pt voucher from burgundy bag didn't work, just rang up now and they've added the points on to my card
Used 250pts voucher against no7 as well (from burgundy bag)
    Hairspray again for free
Total to pay £9.05 but 550 extra points onto card

Transaction 4 (back to my chappie again - I think he thinks I'm after him)
    2 x £5.50 hair spritz
    4 x £5.50 lip shimmer
free hairpspray again with £3 voucher
paid £0.50 after using £5 voucher

And my man gave me yet another voucher but told him I couldn't come and see him again as had to get the kids from school... All good things must come to an end (until the next time)

THANKYOU for all your help and encouragement. :T :T :T

PS This was the Blackpool store - plenty of suncare stuff although don't rememeber seeing any offer signs up, couldn't see any magazines but the change one thing booklets are next to the pharmacy counter. £6.50 bags - quite a few left - I got the burgundy/gold but they had the lipstick ones as well near the No 7 counter.
  • I went back to boots today, still no botanics bars :( managed to get hold of a magazine though. All the clearance selves were empty

It's a shame that such a popular thread will get spoiled by this kind of attitude.
I came on to applaud you last night for setting up a new thread with all the glitches on page one the way it used to be, and also to explain what went wrong when we started to chat too much instead of only posting Boots glitches.
I'm not cutting my nose of to spite my face because i am on top of all the Bootsing tricks but i don't think i'll be posting much for a while.

Anyway to keep this from being chat only electrical items are def not going through in my part of the world either.

What a shame - I'll miss you guys posting on here!

You won't lose out, as you can still read up on all the latest offers and glitches on here! Thats what I'll do!!!

Reading through this thread, there are some unnecessary remarks being made, I wouldn't dream of saying that someone had a strange attitude!??

I went to Boots today and got Vegetarian multivits reduced to £1, used £1 off voucher, and extra 300 points with the voucher out of the No7 bag! Did this 4 times so got 1200 points for nothing!
  • are they giving out the no7 £5 vouchers out at the moment just had a baby 10 days a go so havent been out in the real world for a while and reading all the posts im completely lost on what money off vouchers are around at the moment
