  • Welcome to tootired and Rince and all other new posters. Rince - a special welcome to the elite band of Preston bootsers!!!! :rotfl: Still not spotted any of you instore though, haha!

As for the legal angle to all this, the contract of sale is made at the till. The contract comprises an offer (the SA saying "that will be £x please") and an acceptance (you paying your money). Price on the shelf edge/product etc doesn't come into it (except from a Trading Standards point of view if you've been misled). So you've no problem there.

Oh, and as for taking stuff back for a refund when you've actually had it for free in the first place, well technically yes that is fraud! (obtaining money/goods by deception?) Much better option is to find out where your local women's refuge is. They will have an office address where you can drop donations off. Does anyone remember (ages ago) all the cucumber soaps/cleansers etc that Boots paid us (in points) to take away? Well, my dh got about 6 carrier bags full of these and the Womens Refuge were delighted to get them!

I got a £16 parenting voucher though the post today, can someone please confirm that if I get 6 x No7 suncare bags either £24.50 ones or £19.50, I will have nothing to pay. Has anyone done it yet? TIA

I have done it and It was fine. Had to get 5 of £24.50 and 1 of £19.50 so I think I had about £5 to pay after voucher because cheaper one was taken off, but still a bargain.

  • Anyone wondering where their local refuge is, do a google search for "womens refuge" and nearest town to you and it should bring up contact details. As I said above, our local one was very glad of previous donations.

This isn't a Grabbit, but it's probably the best place.

Check that you're getting points added on from boots.com orders. A fault in the system means that some people (incl me) are not getting the points, but it has just been done manually by a very pleasant young woman:

Hooray! My pregnancy pack arrived today with the £16 no 7 voucher just in time! I think a trip to Boots today is a must.
There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:

Thanks for that, I don't know why this worries me so much, I have done the 6for1 a few times, along with everyone I know!!
