How would you answer?

I have to go into several hospitals over the next few weeks. I have to complete a HAD survey, one great big section covers whether I have or am intent on taking legal action against "any" hospital.

This section is quite worrying, as should I answer honestly I have no doubt that it will have a bearing on my care.

Some of you know I was not looking at taking any legal action, but following prompting on here and consulting my MP and Counsel, I am now in the process of waiting for my SAR and records as advised by my solicitor before he looks to launch a claim.

So the $64,000 question, do I say yeah or nay?

I'd answer honestly, they're not allowed to compromise your care and they might treat you better if they know you wont take any crap lying down.

I phoned the Wheelchair services team today as it has been four weeks since they said it would be four weeks. Now, it turns out that as I am over 6ft, it will be eight weeks instead of four. So, with any luck I might miss the Christmas shopping, but then again..................

So, you recommend telling them that I will sue them if they mess with me any more? Will that not put them on their guard?

On the subject of your replacement clock, I really hope it starts to work out quickly for you. My cousin and a good friend both had replacement clocks and it has worked out really great for them. I am sure it will do so for you.

Ah of course cos they didn't know you were tall when you went in?

Oh well, at least there's progress, even if it is ridiculously slow, you wouldn't want a shoddy throw together chair.

If they're on their guard then less likely to do anything stupid, I get treated good cos my uncle works here, in the other hospital they're just scared of my mum and her 10 page complaints complete with highlighted sections of medical notes. When I see how the elderly are treated (cos everyone else on cardiac is ancient) I'd pull every stop to make sure I don't end up starving cos some dim wit put my dinner too far away for me to reach.

shop mobility do have wheelchairs for tall people so you don't need to miss out on the shopping lol.
