I need to download a bit of a program which is needed for running engine parts breakdowns but it seems not to like win 7. Is there a compatability mode like there was on XP? Stupid web site will only run on IE.

Thanks, I'll try this, I assumed it was something simple but I'm new to 7.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Unfortunately that did not work, neither did clicking the compatibility icon on the address bar of IE.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Don't know whether it helps,but...
I also had compatibility mode problems with win 7 and it is even more harder with 64bit win... So to save myself time I just installed virtualbox, set new machine and installed xp on it... There I could easily test apps connect ports, networks.... I just don't know what are you trying to launch....0 -
Before we go further, what about the program does Windows 7 not like. Does it actually give you an error? Why are you changing IE to work in compatibility mode. Does the program use IE?0

Problem solved, it was my fault for referring to the website as a program, but downloading msxml 4.0 sp3 from microsoft solved it. I can now see the engine breakdowns in all their glory.
Thanks for the help.
