Vinyl tiles found under carpet - wood floor?

Hi, just got my wood floor delivered, so I thought I'd have a peek under carpet....And found old vinyl tiles stuck to the concrete, some removed, some still there. There is a thick underlay under carpet so did not notice.
Now, I'm having new wood floor laid tomorrow so will this be a problem? Will I have to remove the tiles? Or if I leave them there will that be an issue?
The new floor will be floating as it's engineered and it's 20mm thick.
Help please!!!

Measure the tiles and make sure they are not 9"x9" before removing themHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

They have asbestos in them if they are 9x9, they need to be removed in accordance with asbestos guidelines or encapsulated (screeded over) , if you put them in a bin or turn up at a tip you can get a very harsh fine.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Right, I see. Can I just leave them then and lay the wood on top?0

probably best option.
On floor tiles your guide is a tape measure
9x9 ALL contain asbestos
12x12 around 70% contain asbestos (treat all as they do)
300mmx300mm none contain asbestosHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I measured them and they are bang on 9x9. No idea when the floor was laid, but it's a Victorian house, this is a basement flat, but these are definitely not Victorian!0

Don't know. But you aren't going to be taking them up before tomorrow so ask your floor layer.
They don't pose a health hazard in situ. My utilty rooms have them in.
Thanks, I don't worry about health hazard, just don't want wobbly floor. And I negotiated mates rates with the fitter, don't want to spring this on him if we need to remove/screed over.0 -

That's what I meant about asking the fitter. Give him a call. If he's any good he'll know how (or whether) you can lay over the tiles.0
