  • Yep still mortified, glad some are still getting bargains though, they offered me the items at half the full price on the tags but by then after being accused of tampering with and somehow changing the barcodes i just couldn't get out fast enough, and to be far i don't think they were even worth half the full price, can get much better quality items elsewhere for that kind of money.
What gets me is i price checked a summer dress upstairs in the clothing dept because it had no tag and i was told i couldn't buy it because it wasn't on the system apparently, she then stashed it under her desk, trout probably just wanted it herself, so took my other 2 items (a jacket AW10 code brown pinstripe and black combat style jeans SS10) through the till to be accused or trying to obtain goods by deception, like i walk round with a pocket full of 4p scanning barcodes.
Bet the trouts have snaffled the items for themselves i wonder how many others have had the same as me, wish i had played my face and demanded the police, oh well lesson learnt if i ever try again i have instructed partner to strip naked and run up and down the isles singing it's a long way to tiperary while i run for the self scan.

    Let this be a warning!
Been watching this thread for a little bit, so this morning i ventured off to tesco's,found a couple of great 4p items in my local Tesco, they have a scanner in the clothing section, queue's were busy at self checkout so i was directed at a till, the till trout told me there was no way i could have the items though they scanned at 4p, she then called another trout over who said the same and that i was lucky they weren't calling the police as i must have messed with the tags, they then called over the clothing manager who pretty much called me a thief and a liar.
There were plenty of other items still on the rails scanning at 4p but i didn't know of anyone they would fit so left them.
Never been so embarrassed in my life.

i can imagine how embarrassed you felt, but now you are home, i would phone head office and explain what had happened, and that it has put you off shopping there for life!!
i keep losing weight, but it just keeps on finding me!!!!!!:D
  • got some mens combats 4p at St Stephens there were others on the shelf :)
I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:
  • Just to let you know i gave customer service head office a ring, and was told these items are left over from the recent £1 sales and have been wrongly repriced at 4p and should not have been on sale within the store, cannot be sold, all items unsold for £1 should have been removed from the stores and been disposed of as waste, when i put it to them isn't it better i take it for 4p and use it rather than you then have to pay someone to dispose of it, i was told it's just their policy and they have the right to refuse sale of these items.
  • Rugby tops now scanning at 4p, just got a man's and a ladies' - also got one age 3/4 which was also 4p but for those of you without scanners be careful as two other boys ones scanned at full price, barcode for 4p top -5052320757060.

Please can you tell me where these are located. I've been looking for them in BIF since last week!! Got some rugby mad family members who would love these. Thanks
  • They were on the men's sale rail at the bottom of the men's section but just had a quick look and there were none left, ditto the scarves and hats.
" If cats could speak they would lie! "
  • Many thanks anyway. Hunted for the mens stuff, pj's, tights ect with no luck but I managed to get a coat £30 to £1, knitted fur trimmed gillet £1 with the 25% off and a couple of the 4p hats. Also a lonely babyliss travel hairdryer for £1.54. DD's moan about my bargain hunting but love coming to my house 'shopping'! and I couldn't have done it without all the help from the eagle eyed shoppers on here.

No idea if there even is one sorry Clarey.

I went armed with the barcode/description so I knew what I was looking for.
