Ryanair charging me an extra £20 for 'tax hike'

Lexislittle - how many tickets have you got for the Barcelona flight? I ask because I am in a similar situation and am unclear how much they are going to charge per person.
The government website says that the increase in fuel duty will only apply to flights departing a UK airport. So for my flight from Stansted to Palermo, it APD increases from £5 to £10.
I have two tickets. I've already paid £5 of the APD, so I should only get charged another £10, right? Yet the Ryanair website seems to suggest that they are charging the likes of the OP and me £10pp making my actual bill £20. This is despite the fact I am only departing from a UK airport, once. Very confused.0 -
mike j BA`s terms & conditions would have allowed them to pass on the extra tax and I am greatful they are absorbing it since it saves me £40.
