Facebook Photo Privacy

I always thought I had the Facebook privacy settings sussed. I could put albums on there and tag my friends in them, but only MY friends could see the photos.

I uploaded an album after a night out recently and tagged my friends as usual. The privacy settings are set to Friends.

But, for some reason, my friends' friends can see the photos and can comment and like them! I hate the thought of people I don't know being able to see and comment on them.

How do I get it back to normal? I only want my friends to be able to see the photos and no one else.

They can only see the photos that you have tagged your mutual friend in and no others

Yeah, that is down to the friends you have tagged, there settings need to be the same as yours. But then there friends can see the photo's of them.

Only way around is not to tag anyone.

I had to delete some photos because I couldn't set it as only friends to see

The friend who you have tagged will have their security setting set to something like "Allow my friends to see photos I am tagged in" and if their frieneds are commenting on them they will also of agreed to " Allow friends to comment on photos which I am tagged in"

Their friends will only see the photos they are tagged in though and not the rest of your album, if that makes sense.

It's already been said but the only way out is not to tag anyone!!

easiest way is to click Profile. Click on Photos (left hand side), then you will have see all Photos, click on the word photos.

Then you will see all your albums. Under each album, there is drop down box, left click and it then lets you select who can see it.

Thanks all. Think I'm just gonna stop tagging people. I know they're not exactly 'private' photos but I just hate the thought of people looking at them who I don't know!!
