Any advice one claiming for a lost parcel

I sold an item on ebay and it was posted to Malta on 10th October, the buyer hasn't received it and i wondered if i can make a claim with Royal Mail to get my money back or is it only for items posted within the UK.

any advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks

You can make a claim, you need to pick up the correct form, 'lost damaged or delayed international Mail form' or download it here ftp://ftp.royalmail.com/Downloads/public/ctf/rm/International_P58_form_English.pdf
then follow the same steps as the Inland claim form.
I have received a cheque every time!

I think European claims can't be started until after 20 working days, so you have quite a while yet before your claim can go in.

Have you refunded the buyer yet? If not try asking them to wait a few more days as Malta is one country that some people have problems with re slow postage. I even had the country blocked for a while but unblocked them at my last review.
