How long does it take for Vanquis to take payment?

I have had a vanquish card for two months and I absolutely love it, I feel it really is going to help me towards getting a successful credit rating. My only issue is I like to make payment the minute I get paid instead of wait for the Direct Debit day. My direct debit day is the 11th of November but seeing as I got paid today I wanted to make payment today. I like having the money taken instantly out of my funds, but today I paid over the phone (through automated voice service) and I want to know, does the money come straight out of my funds? Will the bank instantly notice that Vanquis want the money out of my accout? Or do I have to leave the money in there and wait?

you can also pay online. It takes approx 2 days for money to reach them

it can take a few hours after initiating the payment online or on phone for it to register with bank, I have known it to be next day if payment made later in the day too..so u kinda gotta leave it and wait....also not sure if you are aware vanquis will still take the direct debit payment on the stated date even if you have made additional payments throughout the month unless the full balance is cleared..you said in post direct debit date is the 11th, they will still take min payment on the 11th unless as i said you are clearing the full balance x
