    Hi All,

Can I join your club? Went to my sister's for dinner yesterday and she said she was saving £2 coins and had got quite a few, so thought I would give it a go. Have 1 in my purse to start off with.

    Thanks.

I started saving £2 coins again last month. I did do this a while ago last year but discovered my OH was pinching them out my terrumundi pot! (We're now seperated so no more sticky fingers :p ) It's now filling up nicely :j

Was just wondering today what purpose my £2 coins will serve cos I think it's important to have a goal. I then thought of the ideal pupose - new tyres for my car! Well, let's face it. I'm going to need them at some point. Just felt my budget covered everything else but this.

    So there! Sorted ;)
  • Hi there xx Id like to join too x I was going to ask how much you can save in one of those sealed jobbys from the £1 shop but have just read a previous post that you could probs get around £700!!

I am saving my coins for christmas but dont want to open my pot until it is full, so that means i have got to save £2 every single day  x

I guestimate that i have currently £100 at the moment xx

    I also save 1ps, 2ps, 5ps, 10ps, 20ps and 50ps !!!!

So all the money i have at any time in my purse that i am allowed to spend are £1 coins and notes :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's another £60 worth all bagged up ready to go in the bank. The holiday I'm saving for is planned for next March, so at this rate DH and I are going to have plenty of money to gamble with :D

  • They're like buses aren't they? None for ages, but 3 came along today - no idea what the total is cos I'm saving them in one of those sealed tins but at a guesstimate I would say I've got about £30 so far:j

    Hiya
Hope its ok for me to join the £2.00 Saver Club as while I have been de-cluttering my flat and chattin on the 'MoneySaving Old Style forum' I have found one of those tin can money tins which you can only open with a can opener and have decided to put it to use by saving £2. :T

    I have collected 2 so far:T !!
However I think I will be here for a long time as the tin is very large  and it states that when its full of £1 coins it will be £500.00.
So Im gonna be here for a very very long time.
