Santander Cash Card / ATM

Hopefully somebody can put my sister's mind at rest promptly with this one.

She has just tried to withdraw money from her Santander eSaver Savings account from an ATM (a Bank of Scotland one I think) outside her local supermarket. The machine allowed her to go through the whole procedure of requesting her money before spitting the card out and not giving any money. She hasn't seen any screen messages to explain why. She's now on her way home to check her account balance hasn't changed.

I'm supposing that using a Santander Cashcard to withdraw from the eSaver is only allowed on Santander ATM's? That she should only be trying to withdraw from a current account on any other ATM?

You can only withdraw from an esaver account using a Santander machine. Every other machine wthdraws cash from the current account (Santander ask which account you want to withdraw from). If she has insufficient funds in the current account it will throw the card out.
