New Working tax credits rules next year

From next year I understand your have to be working a minimum of 24 hours to get wtc.

My wife is a carer sometimes providing up to 50 hours for her mother and father and i do 16 hours as a self employed caterer , commision based work so my wages vary.

we currently get working tax credits so helps us out a lot.

the company i work for cant give me any more hours due to business being very quiet.

My wife cant work at the moment due to the caring commitments and when im not working im looking after our daughter who is not due to start proper school until next september

Are we going to loose the wtc or not do you think?

If we do then i dont know how we're gonna manage till the daughter starts school.

Thanks guys

Reading up on the new TC rules, yes you most likely will lose your WTC.

Might be time to start looking for new employment now if your employer can't up your hours.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao
