Payment Complications Advice Please

Hi all
I wonder if you could give me a bit of advice, I sold a low value item on Ebay, it says on my listings that I don't post abroad, the buyer lives overseas apparently but the address shown on their details is a UK one, item ended a couple of days ago, she has been in touch this evening, asking me to send an invoice to a relative of hers who will be paying for the item for her as she has no funds in her PP and also to post to a completely different address in the UK. I politely sent message back saying that I would rather not be getting involved with third parties etc, and would it be possible for said relative to send payment to her, then she can just pay me direct, and she has come back more than once being a bit pushy, I have never had a request to do this before & tbh it seems a lot of messing about and hassle for such a low value item (under a fiver) Am I being over cautious? Or am I right to stick by my guns?

It doesn't matter what her ebay address is, all you need is for the person who wants the item to pay using paypal and to make sure the paypal address is the one they want the item shipped to. Anyone can pay for the item and can add a gift address- two of my sons are at uni and they often buy things on their ebay and get me to pay on mine and I use their uni address as the paypal one.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. never hurts to be cautious but worth understanding what you actually need to do to be protected by paypal. A lot of it is covered in this postage thread:

As a cheaper item I assume it isn't going tracked so you don't have full protection anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
