Venice from East Midlands

Looking at going away with some friends friday 18th May to Monday 21st May
Want 2 double rooms
Easy jet only? fly this route
Want to stay in venice (have stayed Lido before,it took an additional boat ride to get there)
Think this is high season, can anyone find reasonable prices, package or otherwise?
Understand Canneregio,Doserduro and Castello are better priced areas..

Only other choices with a late friday flight and lateish monday flight are Amsterdam and Berlin and we cant agree on those destination.

IMHO Berlin could be good in May, less expensive than Venice.

One of our group thinks it might be a bit "grim"

It would be useful if you could define reasonable... I've stayed in the Antico Doge which is a nice little hotel near the centre of Venice, but it cost 150 euros a night in March. They have a website if you want to check it out, and they did a 10% discount for cash!

Antico doge prob would be ok,but as its high season, finding difficulty getting availability.
  • Try Hotel Fontana and book through Otel.com, charge in Euros so use a Nationwide card if you have one and then their will be no conversion charge.

Hotel Fontana have their own web site which is good but to book direct costs much more than Otel.com

    Hope this helps.
