Asus Netbook

My mam got a new netbook friday and the mousepad doesnt seem to be working when she is logged into the machine. However it does work before she logs in. Im confused. Please could someone help? Thanks

(P.s. i aint got a clue what to do so please explain thoroughly if you have any ideas. Thanks very much

    Model? May have accidentally disabled the touchpad.

    Are there any yellow question marks in the Device Manager?

    Hiya thanks for replyinh. The manual says EeePC 1015 series if that helps. I cant see no yellow question marks. The mousepad works before she logs in if that helps. Thanks again.

    Press and hold the Fn and whilst holding it down, press the F that has the picture of the touchpad on it.

    Try this
    1
    Hold down the "Fn" key to enable the function keys on the top of the keyboard.
    2
    Look for a touchpad icon on the F1 through F12 keys to locate the correct hot key. Some ASUS Eee PCs, for example, use "F9."
    3
    Press the appropriate hot key to disable/enable the touchpad on the ASUS netbook.

    Quick scan of manual says it is the F3 key to turn it on/off
