Cat rescue/rehoming in Cardiff?

Please could anyone suggest a cat rescue centre in Cardiff that is able to take a stray?

A malnourished stray is trying to adopt my parents but though they are concerned for her, ill-health and finances mean they cannot take her on. They also have an existing rescue cat who is unhappy with her presence. The stray she-cat literally runs into the house and eats their own cat's food whenever the door is left open for a few seconds. As pensioners with limited mobility they do their best but she is like lightening whenever the door opens.

I have tried Catwel and RSPCA. Neither are taking strays at the moment. The RSPCA strongly advises against informal rehoming attempts but cannot take her on themselves, so I don't know what to do.

Any ideas gratefully received. :)

why not take a pic of the cat and get some flyers printed with information asking if anyone in the vicinity would like to take her in .- and distribute them through doors and pin a few to trees in the locality ?

  • I bet this is proving quite stressful for your parents - they'll be wanting to help but ... can't.

Have you tried Cardiff Cats Protection?
