in Credit cards
Currently I have both an egg savings account and egg credit card. I pay a few hundred pounds per month into this account so that I can quickly clear any credit card spending and build up further savings.
This has worked for me for years, and there is now a good few thousand in that account
Alas since Egg has sold my card to Barclaycard I will be moving both the card and savings elsewhere, as I don't see why barclays should get my savings for free
Currently my card balance is at zero. There is about 3.5 k in the savings account
Although I am 41 I have never had a loan etc,(a few mobile phone contracts and credit card only) and am considering purchasing a house sometime so I want to have the best credit rating possible.
So from a credit rating perspective I would appreciate if people could advise whether I should:
Grateful for any advice

- Just cancel the egg card/barclaycard and get a card of my own choice with associated savings account.
- Transfer the zero balance credit card to a new card of my own choice with associated savings account
Grateful for any advice
