Applied for Capital One card JUST before the 6 Months 0% Offer

I applied for the Capital One card via their site on 15th October. It's my last ditch card as I've been declined for others due to lack of credit history, thought I was being good by not have any loans or credit cards all these years. Definately learning my lesson now!
Anyway, a couple days later I see Martin's post that it's now gonna be 0% for 6 months. Cue me being very happy.
Only get the forms in the post today (took them over a week!) and rung up to get clarify what documents I needed to send. They don't allow a Sky bill for some reason!
Asked about the 0% offer and was told I wasn't eligible because I applied though their website, gutted!
I probaly know the answer already, but can they do that?! It's the SAME card and I haven't been given it yet! Isn't there some argument I can try?
Special offers on clothes and sweets fair enough, but credit cards?!
It's just really annoing and frustrating as it would have REALLY helped me.
Will be posting my documents tomorrow

You can try speaking to them and see if they will honour the offer.
But they're under no obligation to do so. And you may well have been rejected if you had applied for the 0% offer.0
