Santander DD payment

Rather than spend half an hour on the phone to santander I thought someone here would know the answer..

I got a santander 123 card 2 weeks ago. Have spent a bit on it so far, and so I set up a direct debit online to pay the full amount each month

I haven't actually got a statement yet - my online account says my next statement is due at the end of november. However, when I set up my DD it said it would take the first payment on the 31st of OCTOBER

will they take the full amount or, because my last statement was 0 and my first statement isnt due until end of NOV, will they just take nothing this month (as I'm hoping!)

Thanks

Read the statement it will state exactly how much the minimum payment is and when it needs to be received by. It will also state if, how much and when they will take the dd payment. Don't rely on the dd being taken unless it is clearly stated on the statement that it will be.

The only way you know what will be taken is by seeing a statement. I do not know how Santander work but all my unstatemented (is that a word ?) transactions show up on my account, are all your transactions on that list ?. They only take payment against a statement, if there has been no statement generated then there is nothing to pay.
