HI
I have uninstalled mcafee as I didnt like it and installed kaspersky which has instantly found Trojan-PSW-Win32.sinowal.bw the file is named as MSAVC.EXE is this a bad trojan or is it to do with windows which save my passwords. I have found a site called prevx1 which says it can get rid of it as if I do it myself I may delete a good file which I need.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks Jen

Hi
It said it was up to date I did the prevx1 and it worked great then kaspersky found another the same name in common files so it has neutralized this one. So glad I got rid of mcafee all our downloads were scanned and nothing ever found. Just goes to show how careful you have to be.
Thankyou

Ive just had the same thing with norton. I dont like norton but it was included with my new computer, and it supposed to have improved greatly so I thought i'd give it a go.
No probs at all according to norton but my pc was doing odd things so I uninstalled it and reinstalled AVG. AVG found 2 trojans! Healed and deleted, but they keep regenerating

Kaspersky seems to of got rid of them totally it found two more later last night and deleted them they were in the system files. I scanned again today to double check and all is ok. I also found my emails have been changed to go to a different server but I have corrected this now.I will be definately keeping this antivirus and the prevx1 I will keep as well. In my case they are very well worth it.
