Whats Your Monthly Fuel Bill?
I'm curious!
Ive taken over the utilities in the house we live in. Been told to expect to pay around £90 per month over the winter, based on last years usage. HOWEVER, the boiler was faulty and using gas but not heating the water, or powering the CH, so we have no real idea what we'll be paying.
But i'm curious as to what others pay?

I am paying £31 monthly DD for Gas and £37 for electric. But this was worked out before the price rises and although I am a small amount in credit I expect my Gas DD to rise by £5-£10 by the end of the winter! I have looked around to see if it's worth switching but according to energyhelpline I can only save £25. As I will have to pay a £30 penalty charge to end my tariff early it's not worth it.
We have a 3 bed semi but one room is only a spare. I am at home all day with 17 month old and hubby is out all day at work.
Gas is used for heating and water but is on a timer so only come on for 3 hours in morning and 5 hours in evening.
Our cooker is electric. We have all energy saving light bulbs and I am very strict about turning things off.
Hope this gives you some info to compare yourself with.
I remember years ago when I moved into a previous house I was told I had to have the same DD amount as previous owner even thought there was only 2 of us and 4 of them. When I moved out 8 months later I was sent a cheque for over £200.0 -
