These sites and shops , such as cash convertors, CEX, games exchange, Music magpie etc have done well in this recession no doubt but who is the fairest one of the lot or do you have to duck and dive between them all for the best deals.
I found a music magpie and another companies apps for my iphone sellyourstuff or something like that and they are offering me something like £85 fora huge pile of old naff DVDs and games that I no longer want.
I'm not whinging but knowing my luck ill come on here next week and someone will say aww you should have used *insert name here* as they would have given you £95 for that lot.
I am seeing 30p for most of my DVDs but my CD's for some reason come in about £2 each.
I had thrown in a few rarer titles but when offered £1 or £2 for PS2 classics like Suikoden,Drakkenguard, shadow hearts etc I thought I may as well keep them.
My box sets of DVDs - 9 disc alien quadroligy etc came back at about £2 odd so ill keep that as well - then you get complete garbage going for £3 on dvd lol madness.
who are the best to use guys for decent dollar
$ucky $ucky

They are a mixed bag -
i use musicmagpie for cds as there are no real alternatives
as a high street option if i want cash - i use cex as their prices are high for when buying from them for trade-in
for dvds - i use musicmagpie.co.uk and tradeyourstuff.co.uk
for games - i used swapgame.com and tradeyourgames.co.uk
There's a decent app on itunes called trademedia which price compares the different sites on your phone. Worth checking out..0 -
smashing, I will take note of these sites.
The one I was using on the iphone was actually called turnintocash.
They are very new - I think they only really started up in October 2011 so very fledgling.
I will give them a go and report the experience on here, I suppose £85 for a load of old tat isn't something to turn my nose up - I don't expect £5 for 15 year old DVD's unlike some lol.
I have a pile of old, odd CD's stuff by indie bands that released like 2 albums on rare labels have to see what that music magpie makes of them.
Its a darn site better then letting them get ruined laying about in the car etc.
Killed a Stereolab album like that not long ago
I will check out that app later also when I get back home to my forgotten Iphone0 -
You may get more on ebay if you're looking for 'cash'0
