Stoozers Can You Help Me

Options
I have FD accounts, with I feel, enough complicated banking going on. I have stoozed a number of cards successfully. The problem is it is tortureous with my current account keeping it topped up to always pay all the CC's minimum monthly payment.

I want to simplify but in a financially lucrative way. I am already exploiting all the ISA possabilities but now need to keep money aside to pay the CC's. Ideally I would like a seperate current account that pays preferably about 5% interest where I can put a lump in and set up all my DD's from there. That way I do well on the lump as it sits there paying the cards off and it does the job for me with minimum envolvement from me, and all without making my normal current account look like Picadilly circus. One of the problems is that most Current accounts will want a minimum £1000 per month going in. I'd like to avoid this monthly task.

Any ideas or comments appreciated.

I set up my DD from an abbey e account. It dosn't pay 5% sadly I am not sure what it pays ( I think you will be V lucky and do pls tell if you get 5% + DD available). Other than that it is the spaggetti junction / piccadiily circus routine from cahoot/ing.

Let us know if you find a better way.....,

Cahoot savings is currently 5.10% (.1% higher than ING) and can, if I understand correctly, instantly be moved back to the current account to pay off dds etc.

Also 1000 rpoints at the moment if I recall for savings and current accounts.

Update: First Direct are offering 5.2% on esavings (maybe someone can confirm how easy it is to transfer between FD current and FD savings) though I note on their website that if you make any withdrawal then NO INTEREST IS PAYABLE FOR THAT MONTH so may not be as good as I thought! and also a healthy 6.25% on their minicash isas (CAT standard) until 5th October 2005 with instant access. http://www.firstdirect.com/saveinvest/cash_isa.shtml
