Parking Eye .accept offer of mediation..

Parking Eye have accepted an offer of mediation to avoid court proceedings..hmmm...wonder why they would do that after all the dire threats they have made to the defendant and the time and money they have spent on the claim ...can't be a particularly strong claim can it ???

I agree with your point on ppp - i.e. PE will probably seek the original (uninflated) sum. This is a ploy that PPC's have advanced at mediation in the past. I am of the view that mediation, in the context of PPC ticket cases, is a wasted effort. How can one mediate in a situation where one side's case is that there is a contract whilst the other's is that there isn't?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

It can be a useful warm up exercise though. At the end of the day, a court claim still means 20 minutes sat in a court which isn't a lot of people's idea of fun. Having a practice on the phone can be worthwhile, especially when you can lay into them and give them a proper grilling - something a judge might not allow.

They probably know if it went to court they would end up with nothing as the judge throws it out.

Seeing it's PE's and Pannone's first case you would think they would be keen to get it in front of a Judge, rather then mediation! Maybe they are not feeling so confident now!

Pannone will probably just add the time to Parking Eye's bill.
