Holiday protection

Hello

I have recently booked a holiday and most of it will be paid for using vouchers I purchase using pre-tax salary from work! I know that credit card companies will offer protection in case the travel company goes bust but would I get this even if I just paid a small part of the cost on card??

Section 75 does apply even if you only pay part of the cost by card

I suspect though that if the vouchers are discounted you might only get the discounted holiday cost back rather than the full price

Paying £1 on a credit card mean section 75 applies providing the total cost was over £100.
As above you may not get the full cash price back 0 it's a bit trickier with vouchers.
If they were done via salary sacrifice then in cash terms you would have got the net amount i.e. minus tax & NI.
How they work this out exactly I don't know.
But £1 on the credit card is what you want.
