Just wondered if anyone has one and how do they find it? been looking at them for awhile but the reviews tend to be US based and I'm not sure on the content for the UK.

Try installing the client on your PC first to get an idea of what it's like. I'm personally looking more at Apple TV (ironically because it's cheaper)0

The apple seems to just be "rent from us", where as Boxee is everything.0 -
You can jailbreak the appletv and install xbmc on it for a more boxee like experience.0

+1 for XBMC.
Although you can download the Boxee software from their website and have a trial run on your current PC/Laptop without the expense of buying the box/cube in the first place..
check out the Boxee forums http://forums.boxee.tv
and see what other UK users think...Laters

AppleTV = 720p
Pros: looks pretty, kind of cool to use AirPlay from the iPad / iPhone.
Cons: requires money pumping into renting / buying movies for it unless you want to spend the time re-encoding everything to H264 in a Quicktime container. Will only accept served media from an iTunes source (officially).
D-Link Boxee Box = 1080p
Pros: plays pretty much anything you can throw at it, includes an SD card slot, has USB ports for attaching external media, has optical S/PDIF out aswell as analogue L/R RCA jacks.
HAS A RF REMOTE WITH FULL QWERTY KEYBOARD BUILT IN (Best thing ever. None of this IR nonsense).
Will accept "Send to TV" from the Boxee iPad app. Instead of streaming from the iPad to the Boxee, the iPad simply tells the Boxee Box to start playing that link from X location on it's own, becomes a remote.
Also - Looks awesome.
Cons: Sometimes if you leave it on for too long it can freeze up, can be restarted fine by holding power button down for ~3 seconds.
Media organisation via metadata is pretty lax. Relies on filenames. To be honest this hasn't bothered me as I have everything organised by folders anyway which you can just browse manually if requires.
