Advice on insurance increases after non-fault accident?

The x number of weeks free has been running for more than 12 months so may carry on.
I moved back to Aviva last year as their quote was lowest (of the companies I'd consider) including £80 cashback.
I checked quotes this year and again they were cheapest with £80 cashback which was due to expire so I took out a new policy with them rather than wait for the renewal.
When the renewal arrived it was only £4 more than the previous year with an offer of an additional £20 discount for renewing online.
The new customer quote was actually £39 more than the renewal, but with the cashback I was still in pocket.0 -
After a while they decided that the duty of mitigation would be very significant.
Most people will go for one of the cheapest quotes.
All you have to do is show quotes with and without and also a list from a comparison site showing that yours is cheap.
I don't see why that is so difficult.
If you have a specific genuine reason for not wanting to compromise cover I can't see that being a big issue either.
Of course they can argue til the cows come home and will be happy to do so as they get paid, but somewhere along the line someone will call time.
Thanks for passing on their views - very interesting.0 -
It will increase next year as you won't get however many months free they are currently giving out
As far as I am aware I did not receive any free months (it certainly wasn't clear during the process). I'm not directly with Aviva, but through their online only division - http://www.quotemehappy.com/about-usLegal team on standby0
