Same here.
My letter said that the first DD would be taken on the 12 November.
I'm getting worried that they'll try taking the first and the second DD together on 23rd December when the next payment is due for £31! :eek:

Think I better find out where to email them to cancel....

my money still hasnt come out just checked this morning, worried too that they will take out the £1 with the first installment money.

Lost my confirmation letter . I noted it said payment on 19th november . Still no money taken. Can i cancel via email or phone instead ? Anyone got details.

Mine still hasn't been taken either. Also got a letter saying it would be done on the 19th. I was going to email them anyway, but had a look on HDUK and someone mentioned that it would be better to wait till the DD is up on the account as they might not send the rest? I dont know what to do for the best!

Mine should have been taken on 19 Nov but hasn't.
I've e-mailed and received a reply that they have debited my account. I've checked it again today and there's still no direct debit been set up. Very strange that there are a few of us in the same situation

Well after 3 e-mails they insist the £1 has been taken out of my account. It hasn't and I've checked from November till 7 Dec. They do have the right account but no direct debit has been set up
My last copy is 1 Feb

Hooray - Christmas issue arrived! I have just rung them and cancelled my subscription (despite the £1 not coming out of my account yet). I have one issue left (out of my 8) which they will still send. She told me to make sure I cancel my d/d with the bank.
And that should be that....

My £1 was taken around middle of Nov 2011, have cancelled the DD.
