Winter fuel payment when in care home.

Just wondered if someone of 97 is self funded in a care house would they still get the winter fuel payment?

Yes they will unless the rules have changed for this year which I doubt.

As long as they remain self funded yes. It goes towards the fuel they pay for through their fees.

should note that is it only a half payment they should be getting not the full amount

My dad is in a care home, paying his own fees, he got it last year.
