Getting mould off a buggy

Options
Hi folks, not sure if this is the right board but here goes.....
I have neglected my pushchair and it now has black mould spots on the hood (canvassy fabric stuff). Any idea how I can clean it off? Obviously don't want to use bleach as it's fabric, but is there anything else I can use? Thanks

  • I did ours with a weak bleach solution, then rinsed once mould came off.

Ok thanks might give that a go! Do you reckon sterilising fluid like milton might do it?

I had an old travel cot - it'd been stored in the shed for about 7 years and had odd black spots of mould on it. Couldn't shift it with just bleach, but kept steam-cleaning it, and wiping over with bleach. Eventually shifted it all but reckon the steam cleaner was the most effective.
  • I have a feeling mum managed to get mould spots off a buggy with a paste of bicarbonate of soda, using it to scour the mould out... I have washed mould out of material before after having clothes locked in a washing machine while waiting for it to be fixed, so I think the first thing I'd try is a nail brush & soap. Start with the stuff least likely to cause different marks!

Possible oxy bleach its not like bleach and removes colour

I use it on a flat roof that gets mould in winter due to lack of light

Most shops sell it in the deterent isle
