Online retail store...Help please

Hi,
I'm working on starting an online retail store,
I have registered a business name, logo, have found means to get stock, gotten a business account and a website designer.
All seemed to be going well. how ever, I realised that another online retail store has a name basically identical to mine. I guessed as I had registered the business name, I wouldn't have that problem.
so basically I'm really confused now, I don't want to be hit by any lawsuits from the other company since we are targeting the same market or lose any potential customers to them.
I'm thinking of changing the site name to some thing totally different. can the website name be different from the registered business name?
thanks in advance

Yes, it's called a trading name, same thing I am doing now for my online retail business
E.g. My business name is ABC Ltd t/as 123 Online Retail Store
Just let your bank know your intentions and add the trading name to the current account. Before creating your trading name, see if you can do a search on the search engines, domain name registers to make sure your potential name is not being used.0 -
Your website name can be anything, doesn't have to be in the business name.0
