OMG it's a bumpy journey pre and post BR...
Since being declared BR 20th Sept it has been a tad stressful. Am still waiting to feel any kind of relief. Obviously had the OR call which was intense then she requested more info which was worrying. However I sent this info to the best of my knowledge so am waiting with knots in my stomach for what will happen next.
As for my creditors well they have been ringing (I have never found the bottle to answer yet!) but mostly receiving a hell of alot of red letters and threatening letters also from my elec/gas company etc cos I cancelled all my DDs.
The bank account is another story have been waiting now over 6 weeks and have now sent my ID in 3 times (long story). Hoping for it to be completed with the Co Op anytime soon. This has stressed me out prob more than actually going BR!
Have now sent a letter to my creditors to inform them of my BR cos sick of the pile of threatening letters cluttering up my kitchen.
I just want to get back on track, get my DDs set up, stop getting hassled from creditors, OR to leave me alone and get on with my life and be able to breathe.......

Don't stress about the OR asking for info. They're asking for this because they're simply doing their job and they have to investigate your affairs in an attempt to release all possible assets/funds to pay your creditors. If you don't have any then it's merely an info gathering exercise which the OR has to go through before they can discharge you anyway.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Sorry you're having a tough time. It does get better I promise!
I just sent all of the letters to the OR to deal with. I didn't get too many calls as I got a payg sim card with a new number
I had to supply info to the or but never heard anything back from them. Fingers crossed for you!0 -
Hopefully now you have written to all your creditors about your BR then the red letters and calls will stop.
I'm sorry setting up the Co-Op account is still a continuing nightmare for you, I've not heard of anyone having such problems before now. Again, hopefully it will be sorted soon. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Not unheard off, but rather unusual.

Thanks Doc I am on there didnt even know that myself! 2 of my creditors have written to say they are aware of my BR so hopefully the others will catch up with me writing to them.
INAN what a nightmare I have had with Co Op...applied about 6 wks ago, was accepted then sent proof of ID next day delivery. Sent what they asked for which had to be certified & was told to get the person to write their name, address, profession etc etc. Rang and was told that what I had sent was enough. Rang again a week later to get progress update and was told that everything was in order and it would be going through soon. Waited expecting account details through the post anytime soon when I receive a text whilst at work saying ' the ID you sent is not acceptable ring us asap'. Gutted.com.
Rang and was told I should have got person to write 'I certify that I have seen the original'. Well I was upset that I wasn't told that and also that they had made out that all was great with my application so was expecting it to all be done. Anyway when I rang I asked and double checked what I needed to get my friend to write. The bloke said I just needed to send copy of driving license & passport and get my friend to write 'I certify that I have seen the original'. At that point I asked if she needed to write her details and he said no because they already had them. I asked if he was sure as I explained that I could not handle this happening again as I was stressed enough. He confirmed this.
So I got my (very nice) friend to do this and sent the ID again. 3 days later I get the same text from the Co Op. Gutted beyond words. Rang & they said that my application ahd actually expired! Talk about adding insult to injury! So I said 'so I am going to be penalised because you have a back log?!'..she spoke to someone and agreed to give me a new application number. I then asked if that means they would accept my ID and she asks if my friend has written her dteails on it to which I tell her no because I was told not to. She said she didnt know whether it would be accepted unless they linked up the 2 lots of ID. So I said 'so I have to sit here and wait and hope again' she said yes. Came off the phone in tears and wrote a 2 page letter of complaint to Co Op.
The other day I receive a letter saying my new application was accepted subject to proof of ID being sent and requesting I send it. So I ask my (very patient) friend to do it again this time writing details and the statement. I sent this on Fri just gone. I honestly cant take anymore hassles with it so will see what will happen. I am sure Co Op are great - they have been lovely and understanding on the phone aboyt BR but this application process has been awful.
Sorry for the long reply! Thanks guys for your support. Ur all fab. When/if I get through this and when I am strong enough I hope to give advice to others its been a god send xxx0 -
